We are always attending courses and seminars on both business and photography to keep up to date on the latest trends and fashions, making sure our style is always changing and is one step ahead all the time. We also work very closely with our fantastic artisan suppliers to see what amazing ideas they will think of next!

Equipment...

We only use the top of the range professional Nikon equipment for each and every wedding or portrait session we shoot. We believe that the opportunities that are opened up to us by using this sort of equipment are like no other, allowing us to be creative and to never miss a shot.

All three of our professional camera bodies record in 14 bit RAW files and back up the information to two memory cards – A nice little safety net for a special day, such as your wedding. By having three full frame censor cameras, it allows us to use two cameras at once keeping a backup camera, just in case. We also use professional zoom and prime lenses with great low light ability, due to their large aperture, making them perfect for indoor venues such as Churches where flash light cannot be used.

Lighting...

Particularly at weddings and larger events, we always bring off camera flash in the form of portable studio lights as well as smaller speed lights along with a trained lighting assistant, who helps to create the sort of images you see on our site. They are extremely discreet, and like me, you wouldn’t even know they were there!

Scrutinised...

Every photograph that we take is individually scrutinised by us after the shoot using up to date Adobe software. Only the photographs that we are completely happy with make the final cut. These are then hand edited for colour balance, detail and checked that nothing is lost in the highlights or shadows before being exported to the web or to our viewing room, here at the studio. We are also scrutinised by submission of our work to the SWPP. We have gained a prestigious LSWPP award for our professional standard of photographs.

Storage...

All of our photographs are securely stored in a digital negative format on our state of the art server, along with another copy on an external hard drive, and finally, all weddings and larger events are backed up onto dvd as a third copy. Digital negative files are the ONLY file that adobe has committed to always make software available to open, making your photographs available whenever you may want them.
