Nicola, Luke and Max have since visited our studio in The Maltings to view their beautiful portraits. They are over the moon with them and can’t wait to see the finished pieces.

After a lovely ceremony we made our way to the wedding reception at The Church Bar & Restaurant in Northampton. This was our first wedding there so a couple of weeks before the big day we met Sarah and Steven to have a look around the venue. The Church Bar & Restaurant venue, formerly a church, was reopened in 2005 after a fantastic refurbishment was complete. It is a stunning venue ideal for any occasion or even just a meal out.

Our old friend ‘The Rain’ joined us but we managed to dodge in and out of it while photographing the newlyweds and their guests. Whilst guests enjoyed a glass of bubble we took full advantage of the beautiful interior and exterior of the reception venue to take natural group photos. As you can imagine it really is stunning, the beautiful stained-glass windows help retain the character of the building’s heritage, giving a perfect atmosphere for wedding day photographs.

On Saturday Sarah arrived in style in a beautiful classic car at her wedding  ceremony at Oakham Castle and afterwards we took some fab group photographs in the grounds surrounding the castle.

We then made our way to Rutland Water for the newlyweds’ reception held at Normanton Park Hotel. Sarah and James were welcomed by the wonderful staff with a glass of bubbly! The rain stopped and we made it to the reception venue just in time to take some lovely group shots.

After some fab speeches and the wedding breakfast we went for an evening stroll with Sarah and James to take some romantic photographs at Normanton church. It was a beautiful evening that finished in style with a fantastic fireworks display!

The rain joined us all day for Lorraine and Adam’s wedding on Friday and so after the ceremony, held in Barnsdale Hall’s Whitwell Room, the hotel’s Edith Weston Suite hosted group photographs. In spite of the wet weather in Rutland we captured some beautiful moments inside the hotel and brought out our portable flash-heads that we always have handy in case of bad weather. It was lovely exploring inside the hotel, finding great spots for intimate photographs of the happy couple.

We had a truly fantastic day, congratulations to the newlyweds Lorraine and Adam and we hope you have an amazing honeymoon!

Zoey and Jurgen have had a sneaky peek at their photographs and can’t wait to see the rest now! It was lovely meeting them and we are really looking forward to meeting their little boy for his first photo-shoot in a few weeks time!

Lisa and her brother Richard bought a gift voucher for their mum as a fun birthday present. She was over the moon at getting the family together for a family portrait at last!

Richard brought his family along and Lisa brought her partner Steve with Porridge the dog! Porridge was so well behaved for his pet portrait and the treats we gave him went down very well.

Lisa and her family can’t wait to see their photographs and will be back in tonight to view them.

Helen booked the session and brought her husband, two daughters and dog, Tilly, along with her to our studio in Oakham. We had a real giggle during the studio portrait and Tilly was definitely the star of the show!

Helen and her family came to view their photographs and chose to have us create for them a personally designed large wall frame. They are really excited now to see the finished article!

We have known Anna and Chris for many years and it was so lovely to see them with their beautiful little boy. They also brought their lovely dogs Roxy and Fiz, who were great posers for their pet portraits with Oscar.

Anna and Chris’ only problem was choosing their photographs for their wall portraits as there were so many they liked. We can’t wait to build their multi-frame pieces together for them once they have decided on the photos to use.

Kylie and Mark were excited when telling us about their plans for the wedding at their beautiful venue, The William Cecil, in Stamford. We met them there a few days before the big day for a pre-wedding viewing and found some fantastic back-drops for wedding photographs!

Kylie and Mark had their beautiful ceremony in Yaxley church, and afterwards, enjoying the fantastic weather,  we headed outside and got some group photographs in the church yard, the guests were great fun. On the way to Stamford we stopped off at the Bottle Lodges, a part of Burghley Estate, to take some more photos. When we arrived at The William Cecil, we spent some time with Mark and Kylie taking some photos of just the two of them, using the beautiful interior and exterior of the building.

The weather behaved and gave us a great opportunity to take some beautiful, relaxed group photographs on the lawn at Halstead House, and afterwards we snuck away with Roz and Marcus for some natural and intimate wedding photos of just the two of them at Halstead House.

Roz and Marcus had the fantastic Houndogs, from DG Music, as their evening entertainment and they were brilliant as always!
