Wedding Photography at Barnsdale Lodge, Rutland

After our journey with Carole and Steve began we couldn’t believe their wedding day had arrived already! Time had really flown by since we met them both at Greetham Valley’s Wedding Fayre. We also spent some time in the studio with Carole and Steve for their pre wedding shoot. We captured some fantastic images for them both which they loved and also used for their wedding day decorations- what a great idea! They had planned their wedding to be held at Barnsdale Lodge in Rutland which we do love visiting. We started our adventure with Carole and her bridesmaids getting ready at Barnsdale Lodge. They had just been to visit Wil at William Wheelwright Hair salon which is part of Barnsdale Lodge- they all looked fantastic! After photographing their shoes and dresses we headed on down to the bar for some photographs with the guys at Barnsdale Lodge. Steve looked calm and collected, but just couldn’t wait for Carole to walk down the aisle. Their beautiful ceremony in the barn suite was followed by a blessing by one of Carole’s longest friends; this was a really lovely touch. The stunning courtyard was perfect for their reception drinks whilst we captured some relaxed group wedding photographs at Barnsdale Lodge. After their meal we spent some time with the bride and groom capturing some stunning wedding photographs in and around Barnsdale Lodge. Shortly after the beautiful sunset and stunning singing from their bridesmaids we left them to dance the night away. Wedding Photography at Halstead House

Rebecca and Dean’s long awaited wedding at Halstead House had arrived and after taking some pre wedding photographs with them a few weeks before we just couldn’t wait! The excitement was high when we arrived to see Rebecca and her bridesmaids at her house in the morning. Rebecca couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle- however she was very calm and kept her nerves. We met Dean at The Grainstore with his groomsmen for some photographs before heading to the church. Rebecca arrived at The Catholic Church in Oakham looking absolutely stunning! After their service we all made our way to their wedding reception at Halstead House. The bride, groom and all their guests enjoyed drinks on the lawn whilst we captured some relaxed and fun wedding group photographs at Halstead House. Before their meal we snuck off to get some stunning wedding photographs around Halstead house using its characteristic surroundings. This fabulous day turned into a gorgeous evening and the most beautiful sunset which we were lucky enough to capture with the bride and groom. Wedding Photography at North Luffenham church and Barnsdale Lodge

Rutland is made of lots of tiny, quaint and beautiful little villages with gorgeous little churches.

We are so lucky to be able to visit these churches throughout the year and show how pretty little Rutland is for your wedding photographs. On Friday we photographed Julie and George’s wedding at North Luffenham Church- which is just stunning! Needless to say, we couldn’t wait! Julie and George live in the village so we started our adventure there, photographing the girls dresses, shoes and flowers before meeting the boys at the church. After their ceremony we made full use of the beautiful church grounds for some group photographs. Shortly after the guests left us with the bride and groom to capture some simply stunning wedding photographs at North Luffenham church. Julie and George had chosen Barnsdale Lodge to host their reception- we love it there! Barnsdale Lodge is just perfect for your wedding photographs. The Barn suite was dressed beautifully ready for Julie and George to arrive. A brilliant day ended with some fantastic evening entertainment to dance the night away! Fun Family studio session in Oakham

Kym and Jamie brought their family to see us for a family portrait session at our studio in Oakham.

Jamie’s mum popped in to see us in December to buy a gift voucher for Kym and Jamie as a Christmas present as they had a new arrival to their family- Little Lucas. Lucas was an absolute star and loved the camera

Wedding Photography at Edith Weston Church and The Fox and Hounds in Exton

Saturday arrived with the most glorious weather we have seen in a long time!

Lucky Emily and Jason had picked the hottest day this year for their gorgeous wedding in Rutland. They had chosen Edith Weston church to hold their marriage service and wow isn’t that a pretty church! We could have spent the whole day photographing there! Emily arrived looking stunning and extremely excited to see Jason. We made use of the beautiful church for some wedding photographs with just Emily and Jason whilst the guests went off to the reception venue- The Fox and Hounds in Exton. Set in the quaint little village of Exton, The Fox and Hounds really is a hidden gem. With its beautiful gardens and characteristic buildings it really is just a perfect setting in Rutland for you wedding day photographs. We had a fantastic day and would like to thank Emily, Jason and all their friends and family for making us feel so very welcome.

Photographing the excitement before your wedding…

We love pre wedding shoots and think they are a very important stage in planning your wedding.

Not only do we get to spend more time with you but it helps you both to feel really relaxed with each other in front of the camera and also with us. Planning your day is such an exciting part of your wedding and this helps capture those moments. Sophie and Richard decided to use her family’s farm in Rutland which was great with the rolling countryside views! They look gorgeous together and we are very much looking forward to their wedding day…not long to go now guys!

Wedding Photography at Normanton Church and Barnsdale Hall Hotel

Our adventure today was with Amie and Darren on their special day and we were very excited as were Amie and her bridesmaids when we met them at Barnsdale Hall Hotel for some pre wedding photographs.

Amie and Darren had a beautiful day planned starting with their ceremony and wedding photographs at Normanton Church. We then joined everyone on The Rutland Belle for a trip around Rutland Water. We captured some great wedding photographs on The Rutland Belle with the gorgeous Rutland Water backdrop. Waiting at Whitwell for the Bride and Groom was a stunning horse drawn carriage ready to whisk Amie and Darren off for some photographs and to their reception venue Barnsdale Hall Hotel. During their hilarious speeches we captured laughter and tears from friends and family and shortly their first dance we left them to dance the night away. Thank you so much to everybody for an gorgeous day and congratulations to the amazing couple Amie and Darren…Here’s a sneaky peak at their day:

Party Photography in Oakham

We had the pleasure of spending Saturday night at Melanie’s fantastic 50’s themed birthday party!

It was such a great night and everyone looks amazing in fancy dress! We started the evening taking some natural and relaxed photographs as everyone arrived. We had then set up a ‘photo-booth’ style room ready for fun group photographs of guests throughout the evening. Here’s a sneaky peak for you to see:
